Abused EDC

I have been using my Camillus EDC as my work knife for about 8 months now, and I think I have just about killed it. I not only used it for general cutting but pushed it as hard as I could with outright abuse. Thier is now a lot of blade play in all directions, I am missing a stop pin screw, and have ground away a noticable portion of the knife.

I work in a chain drug store doing mostly stock work. I have used the knife to cut up countless boxes, and zip ties. I have also, on ocassion, used it to pry stuck carboard out of the bailer. Most recently I used it to cut a piece of metal edge guard (you know the stuff that keeps the corners on drywall nice a angular) off. I have also used a hammer to cut through thick plastic displays, and even some wood. It has been a great knife, and for the price I am amazed at how well it has stood up to my torture. Why, you might ask, did I torture a perfectly good knife? Well it was handy, and they don't want to supply me with the right tools, sooo... One time I even went out a bought a new knife to replace it, but I was just not able to give it up, it seems to have become a part of me when I am working. I don't have to worry about scaring anyone, as it is not threatening, and wveryone who works their knows I carry it!:D

Is their anything that Camillus can do for me short of replacing the knife to make it a little better? I don't expect them to replace I knife that I have claerly abused so much. If they could maybe just replace the missing screw, and tweak the lock a little to get it tighter I would be ever so happy. If nothing can be done, then I rhink I might have to just buy a new EDC to take its place.

Erik,
Give customer service a call.....800-344-0456. Tell them your story, and I'm sure we can "spuce up your knife" for you. You certainly need a new stop pin screw....that is why you are getting blade play. We will fix you up one way or another.

Thanks for being a customer!
