Guys,
I am looking for recomendations for etching machines to put a logo on with. Are there any plans out there to build my own. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have finally completed a few blades that I think I will put my mark on.

You need to get in touch with Ron Claiborn, AKA Bowie from the knifelist. I don't think he posts here, but somebody has to have his email available, I don't have it saved on this computer. He makes a unit that is affordable and gets rave reviews regularly.

I`ve been useing a battery charger and salt water.
Mix 15% methalhydrate with a bottle of nail polish,paint on the blade where you`ll put your name let it dry the write your name or whatever(it has to be scratched to bare metal)then just put the - clamp on the tang and clamp a peice of felt dipped in salt water and dabb the "name"
Works good for me but be carefulyou don`t eat it too fast or too long.....heheheh use one of the wifes bad butter knives to do some testing first..as it takes a bit to get it right...works good for me!!

I have PLANS for one that you can make with parts you get from RADIO shack,,,parts cost about 59.99 including Cabinet enclosure.

If you want a Copy send me an Address and i will copy them and send them to you. works as good as MARKING METHODS machines.
