<<What do you guys think about the idea of a "Group Buy" on knives? I have purchased car parts on "Group Buys". Here is an example of an online group buy for car parts:

A group buy is when a retailer offers a low price or prices on a knife or knives and gets a group of buyers to put in orders through email or online form. The retailer will offer a knife at a certain price when he/she gets a specified number of buyers from this board. The retailer will give a time period when he/she will take orders, an end date to the group buy, and a delivery date. The retailer can unload a large quantity of knives and the consumer saves money.
Are there any online retailers that are willing to do a group buy?
Please propose this idea to online retailers.>>
I wrote back accepting his idea. Please read over the following if you would like to take part in this:
I'll tell you what. I'll set up a price list this weekend. Everyone, let me know what brand names you are interested in.
E-Mail them to either my address here or Service@EKnives.cc I will put together a price list of the more common knives and figure out how many need to be ordered before I finish it. Give me about a week to do this and for everyone to get me their responses. That should give us both plenty of time.
I like this idea. I'm up for it as long as enough people participate. I carry most major brand names, but will let you know if you ask for one I don't carry.
Some ideas are :
--Paul Chen swords
--Masters of Defense Knives
--Benchmade
--Microtech
--Kershaw
--SOG
--United Cutlery
--Kitchen Knives (Chicago Cutlery, Henckels)
--Case, Hen and Rooster, Schrade
--Gerber, CRKT, Cold Steel
I will check this forum, but it will be must easier for you to E-Mail them to me. Just saves us both time.
