Simply because I always loved the beauty and utility of Bucks I have, over the years would up with a few bucks. Reading your forum, I guess, long ago I became an involuntary collector. Here are the ones I have, some quite old, all bought new.:

1) Tip down, 2 line 121;
2) Tip down, one line 119;:rolleyes:
3) Tip down, 2 line, wood scales, 2 pin 110;
4) Tip up, 3 line, small print, 120;
5) Tip up, 2 line 309;
6) Tip down, 2 line 102;
7) Tip up, 3 line 501; and,
8) 901.

I have pics, but need to be walked through the procedure beause I cannot figure it out.

I do have one question--the 901 (not the 901LE which I also have) bears a number on the left side of "53". What is the significance of that in an apparently non-limited edition of that knife?

This has turned out to be a fascinating forum. Joe and the company appear to be Saints in the commercial world. Much as I have tried, I haven't been able to do any harm that would invoke the warranty and get one of these old boys refurbished.

Finally, from a collector standpoint, which is wiser, refurbish or leave alone.

photobucket is a free image hosting site that you can upload your photos to and then post a link to them on the forums im not really up on it but thats what i use and it is quite easy to do

Welcome:) to the forum...

I think that you will find that most of the collector "value" leaves when you use a knife, of course that depends on the collector.

When you say refurbish, I'm assuming that yours are used, alot depends on the present condition. You have some(one/two liners) that are older. If these have been well taken care of I'd leave them alone. If they have rust, dings and scratches, then by all means refurbish them...and put them to good use:thumbup:.

Post pics and the knowledgeable folks here will get you the correct info. Preston

With care and dilligence, I can screw this up, I'm sure. But, perhaps, here are the pics.

Thank you for the assistance.

This Group looks to be not only fun but highly informative.

is there any date stamp on your 901 or do you know what year it was made ?
good pics and nice knives by the way , if it was me i would leave them as is

See, I said I could screw it up with care and dilligence.

...LOL...You did fine. I still haven't figured out how to "scan" a picture like Trax does...Mine come out so bad I'm too embarrassed to even try to post 'em...All you gotta do is use the html code for the thumbnails now and you're gonna be good to go...Your pictures are really good...Try backing off on the zoom to get the entire knife in as well. Your close-ups are super detailed to...Great job...:thumbup:

Telechronos, you have some nice older knives:thumbup:.

They look to have been subjected to poor/unthoughtful sharpening, ie, a grinder/electric sharpener:thumbdn: :( :thumbdn:. The one-liner 119 looks to have been sharpened quite alot and has lost alot of its original shape...or maybe just the angle of the pic. The 110 is probably to most desireable as far as collecting goes...I don't know about the 901. Somebody that does know will give you answers to your questions if you post them.

These are still very nice useable knives...I would clean up those grinder marks if'n they were mine... but that's me. Do you have the sheaths for these? If so then I would carry and use them. Preston

can someone help me out with the 901 ?
i have the limited edition one that comes in the wooden display and it also has the anvil tang stamp but the handle has quite a few spacers in it whereas this one only has the one large one , so did they make a regular production as well as the limited editions ?

Never grinder, or electric sharpener. Hard Arkansas (white stone) it is just the angle of the picture. As compared to a newer 119 which I have.
