This knife came about pretty much by accident.
A good while ago, I was given two 36" sawblades which I knew to be 1095, as I'd had the same sort before.
One of my more 'knowledgeable' workmates told me that they were no good for knives, as they were 'too soft'.
That night I made a small skeleton handled knife with a basic flat sheath and took it into work the next day.
Point proven.
As the knife had no home, I decided to let my workmates draw names from a hat for it. The winner used it for a long time, but being 1095 he has given it to me to clean up several times.
1095 not being the best choice for a knife without a proper handle!
A few weeks ago, I decided it was time it had one fitted.
Here's the results....
Carbon fibre, red fibre and 304 stainless.
Thanks for looking.
