So I was supposed to have run into Portland OR to grab my first Benchmade; 741 Onslaught and ended up also getting the new 515 in 440C which I really like for a knife like this. $130 for the 741, $60 for the 515. You have got to be kidding me, $60 for a Benchmade 515!!! This has got to be THE Benchmade sleeper of all time. This knife is nothing short of amazing. All I can say is WOW WOW WOW over both of them! I've been drooling over the Fallkniven F1 for years but never wanted to pay the price so when I laid eyes on the 515 I was hooked. As most of you know it's very similar in design, just a little bigger. It's the perfect size as far as I'm concerned; falls right in between the F1 and the S1. This knife came out of the box razor sharp and slowly sliced through paper like nothing, no dragging at all. Of course the 741 with it's thin blade was scary sharp too but I was blown away at the edge on the quite thick 515. Mine came with the new molly nylon type with insert sheath that is left and right side reversible, good move Benchmade! I also comes with a neoprene type strap that installs on the back of the sheath for higher belt carry which I love. I hate knives hanging down low and flopping around. This thing sits high and tight. Sorry if I got any of the above descriptions wrong on the sheath materials but you probably catch my drift. The 741 is flawless in every way. Yup, this thing is freaking HUGE but it's truly amazing how it just disappears in the pocket and carries like any smaller blade. I'll try to get some pics up on both of these knives. OK, now that I own a Benchmade I GET IT! I'm totally ruined for practically anything else. can't wait now to get one more (yeah right, one) smaller folder, just not sure which one yet.
