I noticed that the action was kinda gritty on my matriarch, so i undid the pivot screw and bam, the whole thing shot apart. I have been trying to put it back together and have been having no luck! :o

EDIT:

Nevermind, Figured it out.

You will need to take the knife completely apart.

Yeah, it ended up being that way, I found the last thing you need to put back on is the blade. I would recommend keeping those pivot screws tight cause with this design change it can self destruct and its a pain to put it back together, thanks god i managed not to the throw the knife in a fit of anger during my 2 hours of frustration lol.

Lockbacks are hard to put together again.
I had my fair share of rage attacks trying to reassemble my trusty Delica.
Check out this video of an Endura re-assembly, in case you have to take it apart again one day. Construction of the Matriarch should be very similar:

Wow, thanks for posting that video!

I would like to point out to the OP. PLEASE be careful and ensure that everything was properly put back together. I am not sure of the design on your particular knife, but some backspacers have those little tabs that fit into the key-ways in the liners/slabs. It is possible to re-assemble the knife with these mis-aligned and have everything seem to work fine for some period of time...at which the lock fails and additional damage can be done internally.

If you have any doubt, send it in to Spyderco for inspection. Regardless of warranty or not, your safety and peace of mind may be far more important.

Be safe!
