this knife won the 2007 production blade of year? wow! big, beefy, grippy handle. cool as hell composite 154/d2 big wide blade. kinda like a spyderco manix!!! i must admit i didn't get the original because of the price. after holding this knife in my hand, i went and scored an og ti framelock one!!!:D it's only $$$! should arrive this week. now which to edc?

tyrade is disco'd in 2009.

i think these will be sorely missed by all those who "sit on the fence" for these g10 tirades.

as they say in the busse subforum "NO REGRETS!!!

cheers, kimo

Kimo, I am going to get another frame lock tyrade. They are just to good a knife, to not own one. Also, if the framelocks, have been discountinued.

anyway, did some research in the archived kershaw forum, and come to find out that the original ti framelock tyrade was to have 2000 pieces produced. add in the g10 production and you get a total of 3000-3400 pieces total.

won blade production knife of year 2007.

hit the dealers 3rd quarter of 2007.

discontinued for the 2009 catalogue.

g10 tyrade special run may-june 2009.

for the short life of this award winning knife, all i read (99%) was positive.

i think i'll be working one of these into my edc rotation.

the original arrived today! thanks ray!

some pics..........................................

Now I think I need a orange! Kimo, I thought you were my friend. You did not have to post that orange tyrade.

hahahahahhahaha!

i drank too much the other night, thus the multiple orders of this knife! never shop for knives when drunk!

NO REGRETS!

OH YEAH!! Been there, done that. It can get you in trouble with the significant other.......................if you have one!:D;):)

Like many Kershaws, I'd love to have one but too bad it's an assisted folder and that's a big no no in Singapore. :( Does anyone know if there are any dealers who would be willing to remove the spring prior to shipping?
