Account activation

Hi Spark,

A friend of mine states that he is unable to get access to his account for the past several months. Since he knows that I am a mod here, he asked me for help.

His username is "River 8" and I just checked the Mod CP and it shows
his account as "Deactivated, waiting for email confirmation". I can only guess that the confirmation email may have been blocked upstream by his ISP. I know he has been having issues with them.

Would it be possible for you to re-send that email confirmation to an alternate email address? [removed]

Alternatively, could you delete the old account so that he could re-create a new one using that moniker?

We can't send email activation codes to any email address other than the one in the system.

Okay. Would you resend the verification email to the same email addy, then?
Or delete that account so that he can give it another shot?

How about if he opens a new account using the right email address this time and username "River Eight"? Or River8, or River 8 (two spaces between River and 8 instead of one -- I'm not sure if the software will allow that one but he could try it) ... or River.8 ... River-8 ...
