Accually Size of Blade Edge on the 4" Voyager 29LC

Cold steel says the knife blade is four inches long. Is that the whole blade assembly or the sharp edge? Is someone could measure for me I would appriciate it. I'm looking at 29LC model, non tanto

Also, if you could let me know the blade shape edge length on a 5 inch voyager

Arrrrg, I forgot! :( I'm sorry, Erik. My gut feeling is that 4" is the length of the sharpened edge, but I'll confirm tonight. Seriously. For real this time. :)

Oh, and I have both Tanto and Clip Point XLs, which one did you want measurements for?
 
I'm pretty sure that CS measures from the top of the handle to the blade tip. This is to comply with CA concealed weapons laws. There used to be a 4" limit, but I'm not sure if that's still on the books.

Yup, Knifeclerk's right on. My current-production 29LC's blade measures four inches from the top of the handle to the blade tip. The handle is five inches.
 
Thanks guys, no size limit in calif anymore...Some knife companies measure the sharpe edge and some measure the whole blade assembly, it can get confusing.
