This was briefly reported in the BBC news program broadcast by my local PBS affiliate and Gurkhas were mentioned.
While quite unpleasant, I thought I'd post a couple of links in case anyone wants more than the terse sound-bite they might encounter.
Here's a couple of links to the story:
"Kenyan women granted legal aid to sue MoD"
July 2
A group of 650 Kenyan women who claim they were raped by British soldiers have won legal aid to sue the Ministry of Defence in a UK court...

"200 new rape claims by Kenyan women against British soldiers"
May 23
...Among the new cases are more than 30 women from the Samburu tribe who allege they were raped by Gurkhas based at Archers Post in 1997. The elders of their community say that they made acomplaint at the time to the district officer and to the commanding officer of the British army camp, who promised to investigate.
However, no action was taken, and the alleged rapes continued. One woman who has a mixed-race child under a year old claims that her pregnancy was a result of a rape in 2002...

"New evidence backs 'rape' by soldiers"
March 2
The allegations go back to the 1970s. The most recent alleged attacks involved Gurkhas between November 1999 and 2000.
One instance is deplorable, but let's hope that any involvement of Gurkhas is kept in perspective, since it currently appears that many other British troops are accused as well. No description of any kind was supplied for the rest of the British soldiers.
