Ace Hardware 60th Anniversary SC507 - 1984

I've wanted one of these since I first saw them on Larry's site:

One came up for auction a while back with one small flaw in that the "c" in "Ace" is missing some of the black ink. I decided that for $50.00 I could live with it and I'm glad I did. Knife is sweet and so is black basket-weave sheath.

Hey guys, how often do these come available MIB? 4000 made seems a pretty big number but 1984 is a while back too. Do you think I paid too much considering the flaw in the "c"?

I think that is a reasonable price. I don't collect those SFO's very often, so I know you won't agree when I suggest putting some nice bone on that one. I do have some SFO's that I wouldn't change. I wonder if a little India Ink (tatoo ink)(art ink) in the scratch would fix that up?

Yeah, it would be a sweet knife in bone but a completely different one too so I won't be doing that. I had wondered about india ink too but I am afraid it would bleed onto surrounding areas making it worse not better.
