I just got my new flat panel monitor in the mail today and it is awesome!
The difference between it and my regular monitor is like the difference between a regular tv and my 52" high defintion. Man is it slick!
Everything is just so crisp and the colors are great!
Just wanted to mention it incase someone was thinking about getting a monitor.
Oh yeah, got a Logitech optical trackman wireless mouse too, muhahahahahaha! Beats the crap out of dealing with wires! Ball is kinda stiff but I guess it'll loosen up with use. It better or I'll break out the blade lube. :DHas a scoll wheel on it, no more having to move to the scroll bar to run up and down a page. Velly Velly nice! Me happy! :p
 
Michael, we both got lucky.I just got a 24" Acer and I agree the quality is outstanding.Also got the Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard.Dave:)
 
You gentlemen need to mention where you are buying these things sounds like some sort of package deal?
 
Target just reduced prices on logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combos to $29.99. I bought one of them when they were selling them for $34.99, and I liked it so much that when they dropped the price I bought one for my rarely used 2nd pc.
 
Moving to Gadgets & Gear. You guys should know better. :rolleyes:
 
24" monitor, wowsers!!!!

I ordered mine from Circuit City online.
I ordered the wireless keyboard and mouse set too but the mouse wasn't a trackball so I got one of those seperate too. Been using trackballs for ever plus it would be hard to use a regular mouse on the arm of my recliner. :D
I set my pc up on a small table next to my recliner so I cruise the www in style! Muhahahahhhaa!!

How does it compare to a high-grade CRT flat screen monitor, like a Trinitron or Diamondtron? No performance issues, such as ghosting, when used with high-graphic games?

Does that connect through a USB port? Any compatibility issues with alternative operating systems like Linux, BeOS, SkyOS, QNX, etc.?

I have a 20" Acer monitor and I quite like it. I'd still get a CRT monitor if I were expecting to do a lot of gaming on it, though. While DOOM played on this monitor isn't bad, some of the quick-paced, High-res games do get a little lag in them. They're very nice for the money, though- NOT that I didn't about crap myself when I saw the price @ Staples, though...
 
you can get lcd's with the 8milli-second response time and theres no lag what so ever. i have one and it plays fear, battle field 2, need for speed mostwanted with no lag or blur. and wireless stuff sucks if your going to be gameing, the response is slower. its great for surfing the net tho.

Sweet! Is that 37" an LCD or plasma?

I'd love ot get plasma, but not until prices come down.

Bob, you can hook the wireless trackball up in a usb port or the regular mouse port, it comes with the adapter.
