Hello everyone. ... the time has come to bite the bullet and sell off some khuks. Bad for me, but good for you. ...

1) Sanu YCS -- Excellent as always. ... one plain/one fancy karda. ... awl with broken tip like the rest of them. Sheath is an old tooled version, but very nicely done. This is a well done khuk. I've got two coats of Tru-oil on the handles. ... but don't have the time to finish them the way they should be.

$175.00 + shipping (actual cost)

Here is a photo of it. ...

2). Sanu 25" Kumar Kobra -- Again, an excellent khuk. Handles done over by Wal and look nice. Scary sharp too. Only problem is with the sheath. ... dang thing got here from humid Kentucky and shrunk up. ... can't get the blade in past the curve. I'm willing to work it out if someone will tell me how. C&K nice too. ... this is an excellent version of the Kobra. ... Sanu is one of my favorite kamis now. ...

Sorry, no photo --- Kobra SOLD!! Thanks Daniel

$100.00 + shipping

3). Last but not least, my Ashley. This one breaks my heart. ... It is one of two customs that Sanu did for a WWII. .. with heavy engraving, and Chirwa handle. Sheath is one of the best I've gotten. ... C&K normal. ... SamuriDave has the twin to Ashley. ... and rightfully so, I'm going to give him first shot at getting her. ... but if he doesn't want it, then she's fair game.

$145.00 + shipping

Here are two photos:

I'm sorry to have to charge for shipping. ... that's how tight things are here. I'll make sure just to charge the actual costs, and make sure they are packaged so well it'll take you 1/2 hour to unwrap it (I took lessons from Wal).

Thanks everyone,

Alan

You have mail!

Kobra Sold --- going to Land of OZ once I find out where it is located these days :) . I don't think it's in Kansas anymore. ... :D

Alan

What beauty.
Your pictures are so good, would you consider showing a photo of the Kobra for its own sake?

munk

I'll take Ashley!!! Please let me know!!! I have lusted after that khuk since I first saw it...

I live close to Dave so I could take them to visit!

Unless Dave passes on Ashley, she's spoken for. ... I'll let you know as soon as I hear from him. I suspect he's buried under preperations for school finals. Thanks MPsi!

Munk, thanks for the kind words. ... I'm sorry but I don't have any equipment to shoot the Kobra (one of the reason's I'm selling them. ... less income coming in). I tried to find the one that Uncle posted when it was originally sold, but I think it got eaten in the Photopoint incident.

Uncle. ... hmmm. I'll take a look to see what's up with the photos. In theory, they should be showing up. ... I just logged in with IE for the Mac and they are showing up. ... although a bit slowly. It must be something to do with the different browser stuff. ... or that's my guess at least. Did they show up before when I posted them last year?

Alan

Uncle. ... can you see them now?? I changed the file names. ... maybe they'll be more IE friendly  .

Alan

Alan ...your selling ASHLEY!!! Are you friggin nutz??? :( :( :( :(
Thats one of the nicest fancy khukuris of all time! Simply clean and beautiful lines. I Like it better than a bloody kothimoda! Please take a moment and ponder the loss of your choice. Consider selling a few pints of plasma instead. Give up cigarettes or the cable tv for a few months. Hell, make pizzas at the local restaurant in your spare time (...that'll help feed you too)?

Alan ...your selling ASHLEY!!! Are you friggin nutz???

Don't sell Ashley... Nooooooooo. That is one you are going to miss. Why don't you sell your dog, or perhaps your first born, instead.

OK Man...you have got to have lost your friggen mind. Sell a kidney before you sell Ashley. (I am not kidding, you will kick your own @$$ later.:( ) It is an heirloom, save it for the kids.

Tell you what, I will sell my 21" Chitlangi and you ship me Ashley.

Alan, you have mail, and I am selling my 21" Chitlangi for Ashley.

Good luck with whatever you are selling these things for.

If you EVER want Ashley back I will hold onto her.

Whatever you did, Al, the pix are great!

Sometimes khukuris are just like kids. They find the right home when they come to us and then they find another. It is always sad and painful to lose them but this is the way of life and we always pray they will find a home that is absoltely right for them.

Dave,

Thanks! She's yours (Sorry mPisi. ... I DO have the YCS left).

Sorry it took so long to answer back. ... I'm at work right now and stopped to checked in.

Two down, one to go. ...

Everyone, I KNOW I'm nuts to sell these. It is just the situation demands it. ...I've sold everything else that is sellable. Nothin left but khuks and the dog. He's too skinny to get much.

Dave, thanks for the offer to hold her if I ever want her back. I just might take you up when things get better.

Gotta run. ... check back later.

Alan

mPisi,
Sorry man, but I gotta compare these hot babes!
I hope you didnt have your hopes up too high.
Maybe we can get together sometime and I can show you the sisters?:)

Well, its officially offical. ... Ashley is SOLD.

Just one great YCS remaining. ...

Thanks Dave!

Believe me if Yvsa had not already made his generous offer I'd have jumped on this one. :)
