After polishing my 14 a little while back (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1044306-Polished-my-bk14)vi kinda got the urge to mod some of my other blades. Just picked up a kabar USMC 1211 from the fs section as well so I decided to strip that one and my 16 at the same time. I wanted the logos on the 16 to be more pronounced after stripping the coating, so I used PCB etchant to make it deeper. On to pics:

Going for a hike this weekend, so I hope to put them to use. Cheers.

looks good, the etching came out really nice on the 16. Thanks for sharing, hope you get some nice weather to take them out and beat on em

Wow. That 16 almost looks stamped. My logos have worn off. I need to try an etch next laser engraved BK I get. Thanks for the great photos. That 1211 looks nice also.

That 16's etching is amazing. I really gotta take some time and give etching a got rather than just stripping the blades.

Dumb questions:

Could someone tell me what PCB is?

Could someone tell me the brand name of the etchant?

Thanks

EDIT: Nevermind, I read through the thread again.....

Man, I hate when I'm stupid
