Acid Etching + Stone Washing a Busse

So I came across this video on YT today, from Blade HQ teaching how to acid etch the whole blade to darken it, and then stone wash it at home.

I saw a lot of posts about acid etching the logo only to keep it after the blade is stripped. However, did anyone ever tried to etch the whole blade for the looks? I'm curious how well it turned out.

I've thought about it, but the amount of work it would take makes me reconsider. The two I'd want to do most are the WTF and the Hognose War Sword, and those are not easy tasks.
