Recently acquired a Les George Wilson Combat, been looking for a while and it came to me at a good price. Or so I thought.
Scales are wonderful, has a bit of lock stick, nylon washers on a flipper are horrible, and the blade has a goofy re-curve. Other than that a great looking knife.
However.
Looks like the previous owner had taken some fresh Scotch-Brite to the blade, or they stabbed a pile a fresh Scotch-Brite.
In certain light they look pretty bad, but in some light you can hardly see them, which got me wondering about giving the blade an acid wash treatment. I want to retain the blade markings as much as possible, maybe something similar to the Pro-Tech SBR acid washed blade?
Anybody out there that has done plenty of acid wash stuff?
What's gonna happen to the scratches? Get more or less visible?
