Decided to see what I could do to spruce up the looks of a couple knives. This was my second attempt and definitely the better of the two.

Unfortunately the opposite handle scale didn't take much of the acid patina, just a touch of the stonewashing.

Did you do a stone or media tumble? Treat the edge prior to acid wash? Im looking to do a project like this, blade choice and time are my issues. What was the acid used?

Stone wash. I dipped the blade in PCB etchant solution for a few minutes. Then I used smooth rocks purchased as decoration and just threw a little oil in the jar with it and shook it around for a bit. I'm pleased with the results.
