Acidic food on different inlays?

Now and then I use my old S30V Mnandi with African Blackwood inlays to cut fruit. I've even used a few times to cut tomatoes. I wash off the Mnandi soon after using it and I've not noticed a problem with the inlays.

What about other linay material, like bufflo horn, would it present more of a problem when cutting acidic food? I'm thinking there might be a problem with getting all the acid out from between the lock and the inlay on a Mnandi.

Thanks,
Rich

rinse it before you use it, all the voids will fill with water not allowing any acid entrapment, and of course rinse afterwards too.
this should rectify any problems

pholder, I do that with my cutting boards ! It does prevent smells in the wood from things , especially onion !
