I just picked up a Mountaineer II, circa '97, which has a point like the Shadow series rather than the usual clipped version I had a year or so ago. The box, paperwork, etc. say it's a Mountaineer II for sure, and it's got a single guard as opposed to the Shadows. Very interesting piece, and I like it!

I'd post a pic I shot of it, but apparently I've been downgraded to a basic member with no pic-posting capabilities without any warning. Sweet!

Anybody got one like this? I might email it to somebody to post for me...

I got in touch with the original owner who accidentally shipped me this custom top-guardless Shadow instead of the Mountaineer II originally wanted. I truly like the point on this piece better than the clip of the Mountaineer, so I've worked it out with him to keep it!

I thought it looked like a Shadow 4! I ended up selling mine, wish I hadn't but I needed the cash. Maybe someday I'll get another one.
