This is partially a test of another pix hosting site Fotango. I have tried to use it unsuccessfully on another forum but thought I'd try it here and also if it works show some Rob Browns that I have obtained recently although some of the photos I had done for the previous owner.

and now for one using a different background and also using some front light fill for the handle

Thanks to Keith Montgomery, the solution has been placed before this computer dud and the images will now stay in place here.

Well Mur, they're gone again unless you took pics of little red and white boxes.

Wow!! Those two are beauties.

I don't know why you are having such trouble with Fotango. It has always worked great for me.

well, Keith, I think the problem might be that I was only putting the images into "My Album". I have now gotten it setup for Public and so far so good but who can be sure. Now I still don't know why you get the web address attached to your images but I don't so maybe I'm speaking too soon. Time will tell I guess.

They were there for a while, now they're gone. Nice pics while they lasted. You're certainly well on your way to one of the more comprehensive Rob Brown collectiona around!

Cheers,

Roger

By default only! :grumpy:

(can I help it if my trigger finger was a bit slow that day?)

;) :D ;)

Hey, Holger, thought you were going to sell me yours.

I have 4 more coming probably next year. Not sure after that.

this whole Fotango thing is getting stranger and stranger. Earlier the images were all there. then they disappeared again. I then posted to Ron for some assistance and the one I copied and pasted to an email now appears back in the thread. This has me most confused. But then again, I'm easily confused. Any one with thoughts on this, please post or email me. I'm trying to get a good consistent free hosting service and so far it has been next to impossible.

Picture Trail will soon eliminate not members from accessing its site. yahoo is not showing thumbnails--at least for me when I upload images and now Fotango is acting rather strange.

Any one with another good free pix hosting site, please post it. TIA

Murray, I had that problem with Yahoo for awhile...it was caused by my firewall (ZoneAlarm)...are you using a firewall? Try turning it off and checking your Yahoo account again...

Keith has sent me further into about how to work with Fotango so I'm going try this idea. Still not sure why the images stay for a while and then disappear. Not sure too if the returning images are only visible with my computer due to caching or if others saw the images for a while

Anyway here goes with one image for a test

if this holds the images in the posts, then I'll just have to live with the Fotango url. Hey, things could be worse lol.

Sure, rub salt in my "slow-trigger-finger" wounds!;)

Murray,

(Rant on...!)

...I can't believe YOU, of all persons who knows quality, is still mucking around trying to find a cheapo/dependable photo website. THERE AREN'T ANY!!!!! They ALL suck and have outages, etc.

Nice FOTANGO name on all those pics. Nah, it doesn't take anything away from the visual quality...

I pay $25.00 per year for 250 megs of trouble-free pics. I have over 900 (!!!) photo's on my site. 900!!!! I still have only used 39% of my allocation in space. We've talked about this before: www.fototime.com

Am I getting my point across?? You're pics are MUCH TOO GOOD to waste on some cheapo server.

(Rant off... :))

HEY GUYS!!!!
Can we go back to these beautiful knives posted by Murray???
I have an order with Rob for a "orynx horn handle clip point utility"
and after those pics the wait is just TORTURE:D

O.k. guys, some comments on the knives please!:)

HI Swiss--Coop just likes to give me the gears lol. I get stuff for free so I can buy more knives. He does great photos and cool collages of the images and I'm going to provide one here of the Rob Brown dress hunter I won in Rob's competition. This should bring the juices to a boil.

Man, that's low - even for you!

I hope your Farid gets the measles!;)

BTW - all of you with knives "on order" from Rob Brown: don't even bother looking at the photos. When you receive the knife and actually handle it with your sweaty little fingers.....:D :D :D :D

OK, Let me try.... :)

I think the linking gods are agin me. Coop--I just posted the other day my copy of your collage and it showed up fine for a while. Went to visit when you posted the larger version of the collage and mine is gone but the url is still there in the text reply. It just does not show up.
