So far I've always used K&G's own epoxy. Lately I've been wondering about some of the others that are being used.

The Acraglass gel sounds like it is thin enough to use on handles.

The shafting epoxy at Golfsmith's site looks pretty decent.

I am embarrassed to say I don't know who makes this T88 stuff or where to get it.

Any thoughts or info ??????????????????

Thanks
Nick

Any of the epoxies mentioned are good. I haven't had any problems with shafting epoxy, acraglass or K&G's. I have never used T-88 but I have heard good things about it. Although I never experienced any problems with 2 Ton Devcon (although some folks have), I switched to shafting epoxy for the most part last year. I like the micro-bedding compound from Brownell's as well, it is not as thick as Acraglass.

am pretty sure shafting epoxy and t88 are the same.....the stuff from k&g is supposed to be the very best-bar none- yes....heat it up and it will come right off...i usually grind most of the handle off first so i dont have to worry about getting my solder joint warm....and with my propane torch go back and forth until you can see it release..peel off with screwdriver....clean up excess with sharp chisel....voila......or is that viola??

any body tried auto body glass with hardner
I know it works, and have heard from a very old knife maker, that he would put it up against any epoxy out there, his thoughs not mine,I know it is alot cheaper than epoxy
and goes a little further, alittle thin
just add some baby powder to thicken it
just somthing to think about.
