One more puukko. Same shape , different color and material. As a fan of the natural materials ,a full acrylic handle is not something that I would like , but a small piece contrasts nicely with the burl. Also I found out that you have to be careful with overheating it on the grinder.

Steel - Elmax 59-61 HRC.
OAL - 241 mm (~9.5").
Blade - 116Х22Х3.8mm (~4.5x0.9x0.15") flat grind with micro secondary bevel.
Blade finish - p 400.
Handle - stabilized alder burl, acrylic block , g10 and bronze.
Leather sheath with wooden inlay.
Weight with/without sheath 146/190 grams.

Sweet !
For those who want to try this with acrylic sections - when cutting plastic keep it cool .If it gets hot enough to melt you invite cracking !

I like it , but I think that you destroy that beautiful piece of wood with that plastic ....................

Thank you. This is the first time that I use such a material for my 12 years of knifemaking. I was sceptical about it, but anyways I decided to try and see how this combination would look like.
I think that it came out good , but most likely it will be the last time I put it on a knife.
I didn't know how such experiment would be received.
