Action on the Spyderco Vallotton

Hi. I'm new to knives and just got a Spyderco Vallotton in the mail. It looks perfect, but the action on the blade is a bit off compared to the two Vallottons I've handled in the past. The blade just doesn't come out as smoothly and it takes more force than it should. Any recommendations on how I can fix this? I'd prefer not to send it back for an exchange, but I don't know how/if I can fix it myself.

The general recommendation is to adjust the pivot tension, works better with some knife designs than others.

If it is a used knife you can add some lube to the pivot. I might try it on a new knife as well.
