Active Duty question

I recently received a Active Duty that has black canvas Micarta handles, a double cut finish and the older custom shop logo. I know the first issue AD had snakeskin micarta handles and a satin finish, but did the second round of ADs have the custom shop logo on them? Is mine from the second round of making them? Here is a picture.


 
I think your AD is defective. You'de best send it to me for proper disposal :D

Hey Randucci, There were two options at the same time for the AD's back in the day, one is the satin blade/snakeskin handles, the other is the double cut blade/black canvas scales. Both had the custom shop logo, the double cut version being slightly cheaper iirc. None of the new run AD's have the CS logo. That is unless there were any variants, any hints Porkerson? ;)
 
I think you need the satin finish and snakeskin. That DC and Black Canvas just doesn't go with your style bro!

There were two options??? I don't remember that, but I bet you are right in your recollection Dwayne. Makes me wish I bought one of each, but my Satin finished one has plenty of character. You have a nice AD there Tim.
 
Saw a couple AD's with black and CS markings, and I think 1whoporks had a black paper one IIRC.
 
I have the same AD:cool: (sweet knife), But I got it from Bravado :eek:. So I'm pleading ignorance:rolleyes:.

that ad looks to have a colored handle, just really darkened...

my ad and my ad variant had different colors of green micarta... one was dark green and the other was more of a marine green... kinda the same thing, but tinted bluer
 
Cool, thats it, thanks Drew! I just haven't seen many of the DC/ black linen ADs for sale.
 
I really like that Badger Attack, beefy looking. What's the specs on it? The top of the spine looks polished?

Nice pieces! Wish you were getting rid of the AD bro! It would be gone! DC with blk canvas.... man! somebody stop me! :cool:
