Instead of it's standard leather sheath, does anyone think the new style SJ cordura sheath would work (sized accordingly) with the AD? Guess the big question is if there would be enough forward guard for the strap to secure the knife...

Tsk tsk tsk :p

Yessss, Andrew, now about that Kydex/leather project we were discussing . . . :D

that should get all parties concerned . . . concerned! :p  ;)

Hey DN, to answer the ??? instead of trying to sell you a sheath;) Yes the new style sheath fits the AD. You'll just have to buy a PD/BAIII/Groovemaster to find out if you like it though. Hmmm maybe these darn sheathmakers have found a less expensive way to get you a sheath:D

Nah, can't drink coffee, (which BTW, seems to be a felony of some sort around these parts). Capsaicin (sp?) on the other hand....

Hi, dark nemesis!
I have been thinking about the same idea concerning the AD. I think that would be good if someone wants to carry the AD upside down on his gear or backpack, easy to access. I would. I do so with my "almost-every-day-carry-infi", the PD.
But the knife would fall out of the sheath, when not strapped. Here's my solutuion: I fixed a piece of a thin mousepad inside the Kydex Inlet. That increses the pressure on the blade a bit. Now I can carry it upside down without even strapping it, with very fast access on the knife. It doesn't fall out, even when I jump.
Now fot the AD with it's small guard, there could be a kydex inlet that holds the blade tight, plus the strap for extra safety. I sure would like that.
greetings, arno
