I have a Muddy Active Duty that was one of the sterile military overruns. Ordered some kydex for it, and my knife won't fit the new sheath.

So I guess I ordered the wrong thing. :)

My AD mics at around .20" or maybe just under. Maybe .19".

Is this fatter than a "standard" AD?

thanks!

Well, bussecollector.com shows the AD at 0.15", and mine is closer to 0.19" or 0.20" as best I can tell.

Is a bony thinner than 0.15"?

I was just thinking maybe that my Muddy, sterile mil overrun AD was thicker than standard.

thanks

Bussecollector is probably showing the first release of the AD
Millies were around .20 and BAD are around .125:thumbup:

Millies are close to the HD's:cool:

A $10 mic is a very useful tool to have around when it comes to Busse's.

big +1 to that. You never quite know what you've got until you measure it. Almost all of my recent scores from shows have been weird thicknesses or grind combinations that don't match up with what you'd find on hogcult or bussecollector.

The original AD's were a saber ground .150
Not exactly sure what the org HD's were.

The Millieganzaa(like yours) are .195, and were offered first in sage/black and muddy/tan, then other combos followed at the BCS

The FFG .170's came around in 07 as well.

The BAD's at .125 hit the BCS next.

I've heard of some recent AD's from the Knob coming in at .180.

I have bought two kydex sheaths for an AD. They were supposed to be for the model I had, but I had to force them in sheath.

I would suggest sending the knife in for the best Kydex fit.

Thanks Ken. That helps a lot.

You know, what I really need to do is start baking my own kydex sheaths. Its one of those things that I think about but never get around to actually doing.
