Active Duty

I have a Busse active duty that I have been trying to sharpen on my sharpmaker with very little luck. I do really good with my other knives, mostly spydies and kitchen stuff. Is there something that I am missing? I even bought the diamond stones for it. What am I doing wrong?

I would start by marking the edge with sharpie and making a few passes to see where the stone is contacting the bevel. I don't really know how Busse grinds their edges but I would imagine the edge is more obtuse than the angle you are trying to sharpen at. If thats the case the edge will need to be thinned out or you could compensate by adjusting the angle of the knife relative to the stone.
