Yep, the "Centurion" card (the black card) is anodized titanium and in addition to those buy one get one free first class tickets and gold or platinum memberships in so many various frequent flyer/hotel clubs gets you a concierge service notorious for fulfilling odd requests.

All it takes is spending 250,000$ in the previous year on your AMEX card...

With all the sharpened Ti credit cards out there I am wondering about whether anyone else offers a real titanium credit card and (since I know a lot of us already have the centurion card ) whether or not any of you have tried putting a sharpened edge on your AMEX black card....

Na, my "Centurion" card would hardly take an edge.;)

Puts a whole new spin on cutting your cards up once their paid off.

AMEX cards are always paid-off each month!

Not when you are required to use them for business travel and the company takes 3 months to process the expense report.

Ouch. Sounds like better accounting required.

To get one of these AMEX black cards you have to spend 250k in a year on AMEX. Three months of that is 62,500$ -- a little more float than I'd want to give any employer I know.

Maybe it is just as well that you don't have one of these babies. Especially since the annual fee works out to more than six new sebenzas a year (at retail). Or, one of these every year.

But if you HAVE to have a titanium credit card....;)
