I live in a rural area that still has unpaved roads. I was driving through the back country on one of them when I came upon a down tree across the trail. All I had in the truck was my KABAR Large Bowie. I jumped out and started chopping, the lowest part of the tree was a large limb about 6" in diameter. I chopped through it in just over one minute. I was impressed with the performance. I was able to take large chunks with every swing and I did not have to use a batton. Once the low limb was removed I was able to drive under the rest of the tree.

Just thought I would share how useful a large heavy blade can be. I was sure glad that I had it with me. I usually have my tomahawk but not today.

Chain saw works really well in the back of the truck. But thanks for your review. I have the machete version.

Ka Bar Large Bowie is the shiznit. Have one NIB and looking forward to using it but its too big for most jobs. For sure can't use it around the yard. Neighbors would call in the swat team.
