Has anyone heard when this will hit dealers? I have heard different things from another forum and various vendors, but nothing has materialized yet. Not the tanto, but the drop point.

Don't know if still available , but fairly recently I've seen the regular AD-10 several places (non-sponsors ) for ~$100 .

I'd grab that if I didn't have one already .

Much superior materials compared to the lite.

why would I want the LITE at the same price ???⚰️🪦⚱️
another seller has them $109
Cold Steel website does not even show an AD-10 lite
speaks volumes to their marketing and to me GSM

I just missed the $100 sale at one site, now ad 10 seem back up to 140 even $175 . Probably won't see the s35 version on sale again now that the lite is out. Guess it's the lite for me.
Odd thing is there is a $100 difference between the sr 1 and it's lite version but not such a difference with the ad10. What am I missing?

So what are your thoughts on the GSM era for CS so far? Understand if you can't answer, but figured what the heck.

Honestly its been fairly smooth, I was hesitant about things like most CS fans, but the products themselves have not had a noticeable dip in quality in my experience so far. We won't see the full implications of GSM owning them for probably another year or two as much of this was already in motion before the purchase. But some (what I attribute as GSM at least) GSM changes like the Atlas lock have been a pleasant surprise. I do wish their warranty was better, but the products themselves so far seem the same overall quality as pre GSM Cold Steel. I own quite a few CS products so I do deeply hope they continue to maintain the quality and continue to innovate.

Thanks! Product-wise that seems to track with my and other's experiences so far (other than reports of unsharpened machetes), but the seeming total lack of customer service is concerning.

I always loved voyagers since the model 34 plastic clip series. New style Voyagers have a great handle and great for the money. Then the AD-10 came along and became my Number 1. I was really looking forward to the LITE model and now at the same price, I will pass for now. As far as GSM quality, the Tanto AD-10 is fantastic. My sharpest production knife ever is the Black Sable. I can say the tanto AD-10 is right with it. Locks tight, even grinds, smooth action, sharpness is unreal. I was very surprised and impressed. If the LITE's drop in price ok, if not WHY???? As far as GSM as a company and customer service, forget it, NOT ONE response to dozens of emails I have sent since their purchase of Cold Steel. Buy what you want, if it doesn't meet your standards, return it is my advice. I won't wait for a new model advertised to be produced, it may never be made.
