AD-15 question

I was thinking about buying the cold steel AD-15, but have heard that it destroys pockets. I have never modded a knife myself and was wondering if it was difficult to sand down the scales or if there is anything in specific I needed to do/use (sand with hand or sanding block) if it is easy to mess it up or not. I've also been seeing some pretty cool dyes using somethin called RIT dyes and I think the scales would look good in a dark blue but not sure if I trust myself to do that.

Be careful sanding G10. Dusk is full of glass particles. Work outside and wear a respirator and safety goggles

Like bax229 said, be careful with G10. It's easy to sand down, just need to take precautions. And RIT dye is simple to use. None of these are complicated tasks, if you can change a light bulb without getting electrocuted, you should be fine
