Camillus is defunct. Heck, Jerry was probably at the auction.

Did someone buy the name?

Clever coverage of the talon hole with scales though. That is a new twist for me.

The camillus name was bought up by Acme United, which is a generic maker-of-crap, including crappy office scissors and paper cutters and band-aids and other random stuff. They aren't a quality knife company by any definition of the term.

Ah thanks... my suspicion borne out.

Indeed, sic Jerry on them. He's not bashful about defending his trademarks.

I don't think that's totally true. ACME also made all that stuff the coyote bought when he was after the roadrunner, and it seemed to work OK. Well, most of the time.

He never did catch that bird though, did he?

The Camillus name is now property of the Acme United Corporation, and they will have a table at Shot Show 2010 showing off their new products.

I had no idea they were copying Busse knives however. It is a dead on copy of an Active Duty. Jerry should pay them a visit at the Shot Show and give them the lawsuit directly for copying his property....

Here's the picture from the Camillus page, of their Bamboo Titanium Hunter:

The shape looks quite like a Busse Active Duty to me, including the trademarked front "talon hole".

Wow and I thought I found another knife with a talon hole rip off, but now I'm not sure if I even should post that. This is almost a carbon copy.
