AD vs. Bad Apple

How do you folks fortunate enough to own both an Active Duty and a Bad Apple feel the two stack up to each other? With roughly the same size, but very different construction, I wonder how they compare in terms of balance and suitability to different types of cutting chores.

Side by side pics welcome, of course :)

Thanks,
jonathan

It seems nobody owns both of these fine blades. Therefore, in the interest of science and the public good, I hereby volunteer to test both out and report my findings. I'll just need somebody to send me their Bad Apple. :D :D :D

I've never owned an Active Duty, only been allowed to handle them at shows by other owners. I did own a Bad Apple for while, it's a very nice knife. Both have extremely good balance. The BA's integral style was extremely comfortable in the hand. I used the BA for cutting boxes, paper, and trash. IIRC, Jerry had a polished zero edge on it...sliced through fricking anything. However I can't sharpen them to save my life, ended up sending it back to the shop for sharpening.

Can't offer you any comparison pics. All I have are a set with a Bad Apple and Mean Street. I'm sure someone out there owns both.

Hey, I'm not picky - let's see it compared to the MS. That's probably a better comparison anyway, at least judging from blade thickness. Do you prefer one over the other for anything?

I have both a Apple and a AD. The AD is used and abused on a regular basis, but the Apple since there is so few of them will likley never see the outside of the knife pouch for long enough to even cut a piece of string.

No problem. Give me a day to fine the blasted files. I haven't looked at them in well over a year :)
