Today my company's maintenance supervisor noticed me prying open the tabs on a metal pail lid with the tip of my Active Duty. I had some desaturation samples inside and I couldn't find a screwdriver, so the AD was pressed into duty.
He stopped by and told me that I should go find a better tool because I was going to break the tip off my nice looking knife.
"Probably not", I replied.
He wasn't convinced. Luckily we were standing next to a concrete block wall. I told him he could drive the little knife through the wall with a hammer and it wouldn't break the tip off. Somehow we got around to a bet where he agreed to give me what I paid for the knife if it came through unscathed and if it didn't, I was out a knife.
So, long story short, there is a new Busse owner out there and another guy happy about getting a new knife, essentially free of cost. AD 1, block wall 0.
