Heres one I'm working on. I need to do some final sanding, sharpen and sheath. It is 6 5/8" OAL 3 1/4" blade. Steel is BG42 Mirror polished blade, dovetailed SS bolsters and SS pins. Cocobolo scales with black liners.

I am real happy with the way the dovetailed bolster came out on this one.
Let me know what you think. Sorry for the first pic being so crappy.

Now that is sharp!

Very clean and superbly executed Michael.

Another HUGE thing, is that nice thin edge. Most guys that have been doing this for 5 years (and many that have been doing it for 85 years) leave big 'ol thick edges. ;)

Looking good! :D

Looking good! :D

After 5 years of making knives I finally got it right.:D Thanks Nick

Very nice, real fancy decked out knives are nice, but there's just something "rite" about a clean well executed working blade. Very slick

Sometimes you Knifemakers make my life suck. Here I am , fat, dumb and happy, with a short list of "must have" knives and this Michael guy comes along and i gotta add more list. The site is worth checking out fellers. Buy 'em all before I go broke.

The grain in the wood echoes the shape of the handle very nicely and really reinforces the shape. Excellent job of picking and placing the wood. Ya done good! As noted by Will, it's a nice, cleanly executed design. The close-up shot of the bolster speaks volumes about your fit & finish.

If I had to nit-pick anything on the knife, it'd be the very small corner of bolster interior surface exposed by the filework. But that's a mighty tiny nit to pick on a knife that has such nice flow to its lines and airtight execution.

Naturally Nick stole my thunder again - I was gonna call this "clean." I guess I just need to give up sleeping.

Michael that really is a beauty. Kind of a shock to see one so subdued, but a pleasant, calming shock. (:D)

But I just gotta ask: Are you guys going to treat us with a mutual compliment festival too? I love this planet.

(Edited to add, Nick when you saw a couple of my knives a few years ago you said the edges were nice and thin; right then I knew I had a way to go, and dang! I still have a way to go. Michael did get this one right.)

Crappy pics?? Those look great to me.

That is a clean blade indeed -- love the seamless blosters and spacers.

Michael, that knife is very well done. The bolster fit and finish is superb and your filework is great. Very nice!

Very nice mix of function vs features. I need to focus on making knives that people WANT to use rather than are afraid to use. I need to stop treating people to handrubbed 2500 grit finishes that they are terrified to scratch by cutting a piece of wood...I wouldnt hesitate to use this one, which is a testament in of itself!
