Hi everyone,
I'm pretty new to the forum and am learning a great deal from many of you here. I recently purchased this Adamas 275 from a forum member and am curious about the scales. I was under the impression that the scales were made of G10, these scales do not have that same layered appearance I've seen on other Adamas scales. The G10 scales on my Spyderco PM2 and Benchmade Stryker Axis II feel much nicer and more textured, these have a very smooth feel. Am I missing something here? I just want to be sure these are correct scales. Thanks in advance for your input/ comments.

The early production tan 275's had black G10 painted brown. The texture may have changed when they switched to real brown G10...

The Adamas scales are G10. It's just like you said. They have a different texture/finish than you're used to.

G10 comes in many different types and textures. Those look like the painted tan scales so what you're feeling and seeing may well the paint.

I have a newer tan model, and the G10 is still smooth and smoother than any other G10 knife I have. It is what it is.

Mine is a recent model and it looks just like that. G10 can be finished in different textures, as others have noted.
