Can anyone confirm that the Tan G10 handles on the Adamas are now actually tan g10 and not just black g10 handles painted tan?
Thanks

I am pretty sure that they made a running change at some point because I am positive mine are actually tan. Same with the back spacer.

OK I'm not going to talk to you guys no more, hopes up,hopes down. LOL I got a pm said they are tan g-10 and not painted.

SilentJohn had me make him some custom scales for his Adamas.
He had paint chipping off his scales up near the pivot end of the knife.

It sounds like, more than likely, both types are out there.
You should be able to take a scale off and check out the back side to determine which one you have.

I like the Adamas and I like the tan handles, but when I heard they were painted it was a let down. Good to hear they changed it to actual tan G10.

Well got my Adamas today and its paint. Called Benchmade and in fact all the adamas to date are painted, BM said they have never used tan G-10 in the 275. Knife is a beast and I love it.

Well that is a bummer. I wanted to grab another one with the Tan Handle. Maybe I will still get the tan and after it starts wearing off just get some new scales made.

BM said they would replace the scales if I wanted. No big deal to me. It is tough coating, I put a high strength paint remover on a spot for 30 minutes and did not phase it. I going to put it threw its paces this weekend on a camping trip. Should be a black and tan monster by Monday. LOL

Mine is an older one and I counter sunk one of the holes on the scale. Def black underneath, but mine is an old one and I think it'll look cool when it starts wearing off.
