Hello, porch friends! Time for another giveaway! This one is extra special to me, because I get to share with you something I am very passionate about, handmade fixed blades! If you're a regular in the what are you totin today thread, you've probably got me figured out already. Although I'm intrigued by knives of all kinds, traditional handmade fixed blade knives are my favorite. Pair one with a traditional folder that compliments it well, and WOW! Simple, well made tools, thoughtfully chosen for the daily adventure. To me, there's nothing more satisfying in the world of knife collecting, use, and enjoyment.

This giveaway item happens to be made by my favorite knife maker of any age throughout history, LT Wright Knives. I chose this model to give away because of its size. I am hoping someone who doesn't normally carry a fixed blade knife will be able to experience it in a way that's not obtrusive or awkward. Maybe this will open others up to possibilities of daily knife carry which otherwise would have never been considered.

This model is a Frontier First. I believe it is just under 6" overall length. The steel is 01 and will develop a nice patina. If you don't like a sheath on your belt, the whole package drops in the pocket nicely as is. If you take a few minutes to cut off the loop and grind off the rivet, it ends up even more compact. I've done this to the sheath on several of my LT Wright knives and they stay upright in the pocket and carry well. There are also a myriad of options when it comes to pocket sheaths for a knife of this size.

This giveaway is for paying members who have at least 15 posts this year in traditionals at the time of this posting. Folks around the globe are welcome to participate, and if it is legal for me to send you the knife, I'll do my best to get it to you.

There is no specific topic for this thread so if you have something to share, let us have it. If you're in, just make sure "I'm in!" Is at the top of your post. Winner will be chosen July 4th weekend. Thanks, everyone! Let's have fun!

"I'm in!"

A very nice knife and very generous of you.

I've been thinking of toting a fixed (other than a neck knife) for a spell, but TBH, all mine are a bit on the "large" side with a 5 to 6 inch blade.
It "Might" make one or more residents (and/or staff 🙄) "uncomfortable" if I carried one of them when not wearing the kilt.

Thank you for the chance.

I think I have more than 15 posts on the porch prior to this one so far this year. If I don't, I accept I'm disqualified. 😇👍

I’m in. Always thinking of pairing different types of knives. We all know one is never enough!

Great GAW, I’m in. While it wouldn’t necessarily be something I could carry at work, my off time could make a small fixed blade work. Just to share something, I came up with some budget money to send some employees to a training conference in Missoula Montana. They brought me a little thank you gift back that adorns my desk at work now.

Now this is a gaw with a neat little concept behind it!

Very fun and generous, I'm in on this one :p

I am in, friend, many thanks for the opportunity to play.

Frontier First, I am loving it. Just as much as the Last Frontier. What a mighty fine match that would be.

Very cool, generous give-away. Unfortunately, I don't think I can carry a fixed blade anywhere I typically go, so this is not an entry.

I'm in! I really appreciate the opportunity. This is the first GAW I've entered here but I am a sucker for good sheaths and pocket fixed blades.

Generous giveaway and a great looking knife! Not an entry, I already have a couple small fixed blades I can pocket carry.
