I'd love to see the 104 added to the custom shop with options for clip point, flat grind, and different blade steels. Anyone else agree?

Yes, I agree.I'd love to see the 104 added to the custom shop with options for clip point, flat grind, and different blade steels. Anyone else agree?
Now that my 3v has been cleaned up and professionally convexed I really love it. I have the standard and that magnacut clip version too. It's certainly my most used fixed blade. I reach for it all the time in my kitchen. Some of the printing is starting to wear off, but it works like a champ! The standard 104 is no slouch either.

One would thinkIt looks to be the simplest design, so it should be an easy addition to the custom shop.
I think they're doing just find and don't need to cater to such nonsense, but I don't necessarily represent the contemporary knife market very well so my opinion could be wrong.A Scandi grind, convex edged version with good steel would probably compete favorably in bushcraft evaluations like the ones DBK do. Whether or not most of us think that type of evaluation has relevance to us (it doesn't represent what I use knives for), it might gain Buck more traction in that consumer market segment.
A 104 with choice of steel, scales and grind. I’d be all over that. One of my favorites already.

I’ve used both a bunch and I personally prefer the FFG version by a wide marginThose look great! I like the grind on the bottom two a LOT better than the full flat grind.
For sure it's great when slicing tomatoes. When out in the woods I prefer something less likely to chip when making a fire stick.I’ve used both a bunch and I personally prefer the FFG version by a wide margin
I’ve owned 2 of the 3v versions now( along with the 5160 and BoTM Magnacut). The first put in a lot of work on my land and performed wonderfully. I regrettably sold it but picked up another. This last one I had a knife maker buddy of mine cleanup the grind and convex it. IMO it made it even better. I’m not much of a collector. Everything I have gets usedFor sure it's great when slicing tomatoes. When out in the woods I prefer something less likely to chip when making a fire stick.
And just like that, BoTM tempts me!Yes, I agree.
No, I do not need another knife on my list.
CruWear would be tempting.
