OK - now that I have had my small Classic for a few days, some observations:
1) It is both smaller and bigger than I thought:
-Smaller: the handle and overall size are thinner than I thought. My EDC until now was a BM 440-Opportunist and they are generally about the same size and weight wise.
-Bigger: first time I popped out the blade it was "wow". I also have a BM 14210 and the blade on the Sebbie is almost as big.
2) Finish on the blade - at first I thought "Did I get a used knife?" But after doing a little research, I discovered this is how CRK makes them. Takes a little getting used to, but I like it now.
3) One hand open and close: she pops open like nobody's business, but working the locking mechanism to close it takes some practice. No blood yet...knock on wood.
4) Rounded edging on the top of the knife: first time I felt that, I knew I had purchased a knife from someone who appreciates carrying and using knives every day. How come more knife makers don't take this step?
Overall, I would say it was definitely worth the money. Great feel and the craftmanship shows. Already cut a few things and it is solid as a rock. Of course, now I am beginning to look at the sebbies with the inlays...
