add lock to old gerber multi-tool?

I have an old and very trusted gerber multi-tool. my only complaint is no locking tools. is there any way to add or modify the tools/blades to lock? it is virtually identical to the 400 model currently on the market. i have several new multi's that lock [leatherman, gerber 600, sog] but always seem to use this old one.

my gut reaction to your question is not to try. what i mean is if you try and mess-up your old trusty, you just won't want to use it anymore. (taken from expirence) let your old "trusty" live out his/her life in peace. i'm not trying to talk you out of trying to add locks, but i've distroyed many a tool trying to "improve" it.
 
yeah your right. i just did'nt look at it like that. truth be told i can improve something right into the garbage. thanks for a clear thought.
