The scrolling looks Like engraving, is there a name for this technique? The fob is very nice also, on another thread it was referred to as rawhide braid, is there another name for this work? I'm asking because I'd like to look into these styles further.

He's not exactly what I would consider young, Trav, but he damn sure is hyper talented.

Grizz, every cut and scroll on that sheath is done with a swivel knife. It is an amazing display of talent and PRACTICE. You will notice there is no beveling. This is a style that Ray Pohja used quite a lot. It is extremely difficult for most people.

Markb, it is raw hide braiding and while not extremely difficult to master, it is complex.

Thanks for the kind words Paul. I just found the sheath forum. I'll sure drop in as often as possible. I sure need to look at whats what in the sheath world, lots different than saddle trees and saddles.
