First off I want to thank my buddy Joe Paranee for getting me hooked. I've found myself selling folders so I can get more fixed blades.
It started with the Knight EDC Fighter. I never thought I would love a fixed blade as much as this knife and I carry it every chance I get. In Virginia, we can only open carry fixed blades so size and ease of concealment isn't as much of a concern for me.
Earlier this year, when I first started getting interested in fixed blades, I reached out to Jeff Isgro about the idea of building an EDC sized sub-hilt. He was up for the challenge and after several months he knocked it out of the park!!
Liners EVERYWHERE!!
Then a couple of weeks ago, Neil Blackwood posted up a fixed blade he was working on that looked amazing. Unfortunately it had jade green g10 scales and I don't do green knives (long story). I reached out to Neil and expressed my interest if he was willing to change the handle material. Neil was very gracious and dressed her up in some vintage natural micarta and ever added a few mosaic pins.
It made for a truly stunning piece!
So there you have it, my budding family:
