Last night I got to thinking that I would like a little flare on my PM2 and thought a backspacer would fit the bill. After a bit of experimenting and and messing around this is what I got! Let me know what you think!

I like it too, looks like it would be easier to find it in low light or at the bottom of a pack.

Looks pretty sweet! I LOVE this brown sprint. I only got it just for the hell of it, and always thought it was kind of lame with the color and the S35VN, but the brown looks awesome and it has grown on me a lot. It shows no dirt or wear easily. They also have way higher detent than most PM2's and it was too heavy at first, but now that I'm used to it and broke it in a bit, I love it. The blade doesn't bounce back open when you swing it closed, it's super secure (won't shake out EVER), and it flies out super fast. I hate carrying sprint runs, but this one it just so perfect for EDC and doesn't show wear anyway. It has the best action and feel out of any of my PM2's as well. The best detent and the only one with almost zero lock stick.

BTW, that would look awesome with a "gear" pattern! I think it would be especially cool if you extended it so it went as far up as possible. Right up to the compression lock.

That looks good man. I like What is it made out of?

I made it out of G10, thank you for the compliment!

Nice looking work!

Thank you sir!

Thank you! It certainly is easier to find in the dark.

Thanks boss! Its a great little knife.

I totally agree with you on that, I am going to NY tonight for a week then USN's G4 in Vegas. When I get back, I will try to make one with some jimping! The problem with going up that high is that it gets in the way of the lock. I actually took about 1/4 inch off in length because it was affecting the lock.

I made a copper one for one of my PM2's, liked the added weight and look but ended up taking it off, prefer open construction.
Only suggestion would be to make it flush with the scales, looks unfinished but good start ;)

I intentionally left it raised, I like the way it feels nice in the hand actually.

Oh, didn't think about the lock bar. Gotcha. Looks great the way it is, though! I had no idea there was a USN gathering here in Vegas! Thanks for mentioning that, I will have to go. I don't get on USN too much, although I am a member, but I would love to check that out. You rarely see other people carrying knives here in Vegas and I don't know any knife enthusiasts here, so I'd love to get to hang out with some like-minded people and show off my knives as well as see other peoples' knives.

Did you drill or mill the holes? How well does it fit? I am looking to do the same thing to my PM2
