Hi guys

It took me 6 months to pay off the X42 Recondo, so now I bought the Pentagon and put it on the c/card budget facility for 6 months.

I might not have that much money, but by patiently pursuing my favourite knives I have already acquired 6 SOGs
1) Tsunami
2) Government Agent
3) Tech 1
4) X42 Recondo
5) Access Card
6) Pentagon
The first 3 are all discontinued and mine are in MINT condition so I'm very happy with that. The Access Card was bought on a sale. I really wanted the Pentagon as it is more compact than some of the other fixed blades that I have so I believe I'll be able to carry it easier (once I get a replacement sheath).

So what's next? In a couple of months time I'd like to look at a Seal 2000.

One good SOG deserves another :D

Great Collection !! A Seal 2000 would be a great addition.

And perfect reasoning: "One good SOG deserves another."

Cheers,

Carl

p.s. you have any secrets on sharpening the Recondo ?? I still haven't figured it out......

Andre,
Just to "branch out" might I suggest checking out the Field Knife??? The SEAL 2000 is very similar to your Tech 1 (about 1" longer with serrations and a different handle). The Field Knife is also great value.
Just a thought...:D

Congrats Andre! The Pentagon series is really cool.:)

Hi guys

I don't get onto the net much cause I don't have a home pc, so I'm a bit slow with the replies.

The Field Knife is fine, but I went with the X43 Recondo cause I preferred the tanto profile. I won't be adding any more from that "family".

The Tigershark is really cool, but too big to go anywhere. I am also not such a big fan of carbon steel blades, I prefer the stainless ones.

Gee, looks like my mind is already quite set on getting the Seal 2000 next. Guess I just need the $$ now :)

I contacted a local guy here who has made some kydex sheaths for me before and he's going to make me an IWB for the Pentagon.
