i was looking at a sale thats now on page 2 by mogmz for a satin jack and a public defender, wich are going for the normal busse price (minus shipping)

and i was looking at wether id really want the new line so much more then the old that id wait the 2 months, and add 90$ for sheath and knife.

after some photoshoppery and some rotating of images to match the pics from the "friday day 1" post - there are two features that make the old line obsolete as far as my wallet are concerened (lol... if i ever get a bank account - it may have other ideas however :) )

- slightly tilted handle and the added palm swells - with a lanyard hole to boot.

- and what does it for me - THE FINGER CHOIL!!!!!

one of the features that i love dearly on my swkw bandicoot has now crossed over to the new busse line :D :D :D

thank you so much jerry... i just wish blade west was sooner....

Seth...

While I agree with you that the new line is going to be superb, and while I'm not trying to be a butt-head by pointing out the obvious...

The finger choil has been on Busses for a long time. It does tend to be somewhat smaller than your average finger on some of the smaller knives (i.e. the BAs) but it has always been there. If that is the deciding factor on whether or not to wait... you may want to re-examine the old line.

HTH.:)

god i suck....

im sorry, i didnt mean to the entire tactical line, or that all past busse's didn't have the choil, or that past busse's are obsolete in anyway

i meant that the public defender and the active duty now have a finger choil, where before it was much much smaller, and not usable for a choke up area.

i appologize for saying it in a way that made the old lines belittled in any way, i meant that in choosing between the old and new public defender/active duty, the finger choil, as well as the new sculpted handles have swayed me to in the direction of the new.

if my finacial situation allowed me to do it, i would have purchased a sh-bm, as well as a pub-defender already, and test them out to see wich id rather keep, or keep both (again, if money allowed)

didnt mean to say anything that seemed to put down the old lines - a simply piano melody can often speak volumes more then a full fledged symphony orchestra, and so is the same with the old lines.
each one is unique and bueatiful in their own respects,

and all busses - big or small, old or new, are still busse blades - worth the money and so much more.

There you go again, Spearhead... Starting trouble... And without telling me first at that!!!:grumpy: :D :D :D

Great SpearHog, make the poor guy feel like crap. Now he's going to go out and buy a SHBM and a PD just to decide which to keep:eek: Why, he'll probably end up keeping both and then what's going to happen? Way to go. Poor Seth, and I do mean POOR with his new found "Friend" on the forum;)

Hey Seth:

Tactile may not be a bad word to describe the new line. Here's the definition.....

Quick definitions (tactile)

adjective: producing a sensation of touch (Example: "Tactile qualities")
adjective: of or relating to or proceeding from the sense of touch (Example: "A tactile reflex")

The new grip is supposed to feel good..:)
