VERY cool, Alex. I've been bitten by the Hawk bug myself. In fact, I've got one coming from Ryan as well. I wonder how a Hawk throwing meet might go over in Flushing Meadow.

Nice hawks Alex!!

Are Ryan's hawks as nice to handle as they look in the pics?? I'd bet they are!!
Any initial comments would be appreciated even if over in Knife Reviews forum.

I want a pierced heart pipe hawk sooooo bad. I keep showing my wife RMJ's website and trying to get her to bite. The real problem is that I have a feeling that just one won't do.

Oh Man! Those are beauties! As a Daniel Winkler fan, I've been thinking about a hawk for a couple years now. I met Ryan two years ago at the Chesapeake show and was very impressed with his work.

I am assuming Bruce did the one on the right. I love that studded, carved, chiseled look. I've never seen one quite like that. It is super cool.

I will give some impressions of the two hawks on the Review forum. Ryan's hawks may very well be addictive. I recieved mine today and already thought " Ok I need a Copperhead so I can have a user and a keeper." Yea this thing is built like a user. Man and those Hammer pole hawks !! My wife just gave me the go ahead on a companion knife from Ryan. Amazing what some smoochin can get ya.

Oh and about half a beer.

Brian I think if we meet on the lake side no one will ever know

Although under the unisphere might be exciting.

I am seriously considering playing a little bit in the middle of Forest park though.

Thanks for putting up the picture Alex...
Alex is the reason that I have started making "HAWKS" he asked me if I would make him one so I agreed,It took me awhile to figure out how to do them, and this is my second one that I have ever made...I believe that I will have to do more...They are kind of fun now...

Hehe. Apparently I am an idiot, and Ryan's work has evolved. Wow.

They are both nice hawks, even if you can't smoke 'em.

No you are not a IDIOT....Give me a little time to figure out the handle decorations and mine will be real fancy also...I kind of liked the plain handle so it didn't distract from the damascus head..But I think that a little dress up on the handle will look cool.

Hello guys - thanks for the kind comments about the hawk. I have a hawk I'm putting on the site today that does not fit any of my orders that will be immediately available. Thanks also Alex for posting the picture of my Plains War Hatchet! ( It may be your Plains War Hatchet, but it will always be my baby...)
If you guys have any hawk questions, please feel free to email me!

Welcome to BladeForums, Ryan! Now get back to work on making my Plains War Hatchet.
