Adding a clip to knives

I recently had an epiphany: I've always wanted a clip on some of my knives, namely the EKA Swede 88, but I've never realized I could simply take another clip, drill three holes, and fulfill my wish. Well, I found an old Spyderco Byrd Cara Cara clip, and I realized that if I were to add it onto the knife, it would increase functionality, and it even looks somewhat natural. I didn't have screws, though, so I'm asking Spyderco for a couple more, but as I wait for the screws so I can add the clip to the knife, I'd come here and see if any of you have done something similar? Has anyone else here taken a traditional style knife, or at least one with no clip, and simply added one? Pictures are of course welcome.

I have done it to numerous knives. Years ago I put a clip on one of those Buck Knives with titanium handles. Looks like a 110, but titanium. Kind of a pain to drill and tap ti,but it can be done.

Also I have one of the old Cold Steel Vacarro Grandes, that came without a clip. I simply took an old black Benchmade clip, drilled three holes in the plastic at the butt end, and installed with three self-tapping screws. It has remained this way since like 1996 (forget the year they came out).

I do not know if they will still do this, but at one time you could call Benchmade and buy a ten pack of clips, complete with screws. Think I paid $40.00 for a ten pack in the late 90s. So that is $4.00 a clip with screws.

Of course, due to price inflation and wage deflation, they will probably cost $80.00 today.

Here's a Ti clip that STR put on my Buck 501.

I had STR here on the forums add a clip to my Buck 560XLT.

And I added one that I scavenged froma Smith & Wesson folder to a Swiss Army Knife.
