I've got a stump in the side yard that needed a beating, perfect opportunity to add a little character to the AK.

“Thwank” is the sound it makes on a good bite...

There’s nothing like giving your INFI a little love on a warm sunny morning ;) Twhank !

I got so excited when I unwrapped mine that I had to smack a piece of wood - it was a piece of oak, and marked up the coating pretty good from 2 thwacks.

You have inspired me to take it out again and attack any freaking bushes or trees that get in my way or generally irritate me in the backyard.

Thanks!

WTF! How dare you do that to such a beautiful piece of steel!!

What are you supposed to do with it? Shovel noodles into that hole in the front of your head? :D

I would recommend a target with more give than that, if that is what you are talking about.

I could never treat my Infi like that! I mean that is just pure abuse just to even use it! Mine are fine just sitting in their safes collecting dust while I dream of being a real commando/operator or something! Hey a man has to have dreams doesn't he!!:o :(

the first cut was the best, cause the ak47 went right through it, and nothing happened, the top stayed right in place... but then the very poorly constructed stand toppled and the pumpkin split into peices. there were several seeds cleanly sliced though...

and i already posted the throwing pics elsewhere

Great post Seth. Remind me to send you a box of nails though. I would have loved to have seen the halved yet whole pumpkin thing.

Now that's what I'm talking about!!! Great pics. That stump must have screamed when you hit!

Seth you must be a blast on Halloween! ;)

Both of your pics are Killer!

.

As a side note: This page took 9 minutes to load on dialup. Have you ever thought of using an image resizing program like Irfanview? ;)

Jimmyjones,
Thanks for the great pics! I really appreciate seeing that thing in action. I believe I found my new blade...(now I just gotta find the $$ ;) )
Since we are on the topic on the Ak47, would you gentlemen use the sword as a machete of sorts? Obviously it is a martial art weapon(for uber tactical zombie sentry removal ;) ), but I am just curious about others experiences as using the sword for woods craft type activities. One guy said he had it on his 4 wheeler (which assume he intends on hacking brush with it)
Any recommendations for the ideal sheath on one of those? What's your favorite blade/handle combo? Jerry really out does himself with the micarta options!
Thanks again for the pics!
Luke

i've been tempted to have the blade cut down to around 11", and have the handle cut down to 3 tube fasteners, with finger grooves put into it in order to make it more of an applicable machete, but as it is its not really suited for it.

the 3 hand length handle doesnt allow a very fluid swinging motion from the hand (the handle iether catches the elbow, or your wrist is at a less then idea angle), and the weight is akward. when you have it choked up its an okay balance for machete work, but choked back so you dont have to deal with the extended handle its way to heavy and hard to control.

the grind itself is also less then idea for a machete, in that it simply wouldnt work on light vegetation without extreeemly fast speed (and even then it would suck), and its not really heavy enough/its to long for heavy chopping. on lighter wood and brances it would be so so, but the handle issues are still in place
